Let us suppose, technological change means we can produce food with fewer workers. Therefore, it is cheaper to produce food and the price of food should fall.

This means that people can spend a smaller percentage of their income on buying food. Therefore, people have more money to spend on other goods and services.

This increased demand for manufactured goods causes higher demand, and therefore there will be a higher demand for workers.

Technological innovation merely changes the types of jobs that occur in the economy. If labour productivity increases, we can enjoy a greater range of goods and services.

In 1920, there were 1.2 million coal miners in the UK. Technological change was a factor in the number employed fall to less than 5,000 in 2012. (decline of UK Coal)

NO i am not in the fever of this statement Because i think technology can not create unemployment instead of that new technologies provides many jobs to the persons if they have skills to do somethings and development of new technologies may lead to development of different new companies they provides jobs too many
And if companies are not going to born new technologies then they fail in competition
    with technologically strong competitors.

According to me technology is rising unemployment because of new technologies are introducing in the market and owner they want to take it because manpower is not required very much , very few people can operate the machine though they have to skill .If manpower is not required very much then production costs will be less and machine can give the production more as a result he will be able to compete in the market. He will be able to make more profit. But poor people they are loosing their job, and unemployment is increasing day by day.For example where manpower used to require 100 now new machine has come and 60 people can manage the production as a result production costs is getting less and peoples are getting jobless.
