Yes – College should be free for everyone:

When college education is free, the number of graduates will drastically increase. At present, many people do not have access to higher education. So many students are not joining colleges due to the financial status of their parents. Free education will be very helpful for them.
At present, the rich are getting richer and poor people are getting poorer. A free college education will reduce social inequality too because as everyone can study and learn the skills in college, everyone will have an equal opportunity to settle in the career of their choice.
Some students are taking education loans to study and then they have to work hard to repay their loans. Many people are forced to take up jobs immediately after college to repay loans. But with free education, they will have the liberty in career choices like choosing a job or becoming entrepreneurs or experimenting with gigs etc.
There is a shortage of skilled workers in many countries. When the college education is free, this problem will be solved.

At present, private investments in education led to improvement in the quality of education. Without the commercialisation of education, the quality of education may not improve much.
Students may take free education for granted.
Unemployment in skilled workers may increase.
There will be little or no value for graduates because anyone can easily become a graduate.

Conclusion:

Even though there are some cons, a free college education enables more people to join college. It can drastically increase the number of graduates in the country. Moreover, a free college education has the potential to reduce social inequalities.

College should be free for everyone in my opinion because in India most of the people are coming from rural area and they are not mostly aware of higher education and if they are aware of that , they do not have that much money to pursue their higher education.
government has launched launched many schemes like “mid day meal, Anganbari “. etc to promote child for primary education , but then what in rural family people quit their education after that because primary education was free they get free meal books etc and then they do not afford higher education so they quit education they just avoid their dreams passion they only focused to earn money to bear their financial condition to support their parents to survive , so in my opinion college should be free for everyone it would help to those people who do not afford it , and in this way number of graduates will increase in the country
and people will have liberty in career choice.

if colleges are free for everyone then students who don’t have good financial status can benefit a lot from this because nowadays graduation is the required eligibility criteria for private or gov. jobs.

Yes, Ofcourse College fees should be free. First of all before writing any thing we want to add this that Free education is our fundamental right under prevention of article 21 A for 6 to 14 year age students. It is a government duty to provide his citizens free education, free health service etc. In generally way how it is worse that any one who want to study but not get by his financial condition.

Government should invest a big amount in education sector, Govt should give subsidy to private college and financial fund to that college who did good job in education centre and providing free education to their students .
At last we want to say just one sentence that Education is compassion not buisness

If college education is free the cost of maintenance salary etc. cannot be collected nd will increase burden on govt. during the pandemic like corona ..
