Banks levying charges on cash transactions – Is it a good move?
Theme :-- Large banks of India like SBI, HDFC and ICICI decided to impose limit on cash transactions on monthly basis and will levy charges on cash transactions exceeding free ones.
- HDFC, ICICI and Axis banks started this charges from
SBI merger with associate banks – Good or Bad?
Theme :-- State Bank of India’s five associate banks will be merged with SBI from 1st April, 2017. This is the biggest merger yet in the Indian banking industry.
- With this move, SBI’s assets will be 37 lakh
Cap on wedding expenditure – Is it fair?
Theme :-- A private bill to curb wedding expenditure was introduced in Lok Sabha on 16th, February 2017.
- This bill proposed to impose 10% tax on wedding expenses, if exceeds 5 lakh rupees.
- It also highlighted the food wastage issue
